Are there any proven ways to build muscles? 1 Year, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Building muscle takes so long! I train a lot and hard but it takes forever, it seems I just can’t do it. Please tell me, are there any proven ways to build muscles? Please reply I am waiting for your replies.

I’m with you on that one buddy.

It’s annoying not getting the results you want even when you train hard (I had the same problem).

Enroll in a civilian Boot Camp program - they last from four to six weeks. Find one near you on the Internet. That kind of program will get rid of the fat tissue that's taking away from the "ripped" appearance of your muscles, and build overall strength and endurance. Anybody can join, no matter what their physical condition is, and see improvement in two weeks or sooner.

My husband has been working out daily for almost 16 yrs...He is a power lifter!

The one thing like CW said, it takes time, and once you achieve what you want you have to maintain it or it just goes away...

My suggestion is do what the other members do, if you see the guy that is getting the results you are looking for introduce yourself and ask if you could work out with him and tell him exactly why. In the beginning of hubby's training he did this and now he trains others at his gym. And if the person you pick is serious about muscle gain he will not laugh nor ignore you because he knows he has been where you are!

Try to get a session with a personal trainer so that you can get the right exercise program going. If you are to shy for that, try searching for a free exercise program on the net, cant say that you will get the same benefit as paying for a proven program or seeing a trainer.

It takes time to build yourself a muscular body. You need to train at least 3 times a week, doing all muscle groups at least once a week, and doing around 3 different exercises per muscle group, for about 3 sets per exercise. Use weights that are heavy enough to allow you to do between 8 and 12 reps per set. If you can do more than 12, up the weight, if you can't do at least 6-8, lower the weight. Make sure you max out on each set (you are not able to do any more reps), as this will promote muscle growth.
Eat plenty of carbs and protein, and you will be on the right path to building a good physique.
I have been training 17 years... it's pretty much a part of my life, now.
Stick with it, you WILL get muscular. I promise you that.
